Mauritius pavilion in 2010 Shanghai World Expo receives 15,000 visitors per day.
A daily 15,000 people visit the Mauritius pavilion, one of the 40 from Africa, during the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, according to the Indian Ocean island country's commissioner in charge of the exhibition.
Jagdish Koonjul said he is fully satisfied with the visits to the Mauritius pavilion which is expected to receive Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam sometime later.
The Mauritius pavilion covers 250 square meters with a theme of "The Island City State".
It puts emphasis on the fusion between various cultures, economic prosperity, the new urban situation and technical innovations, the protection of historical items and the environment. It is a marriage between tradition and modernity.
The day before the official opening of the Shanghai World Expo on May 1, the pavilion received Chinese President Hu Jintao.
